By Laura Lausmann, Oregon TAA Liaison, Oregon Employment Department

Oregon’s TAA program created a series of videos that includes an overview of the program, review of benefits and services, and information on how to file a petition for Trade Adjustment Assistance for Workers. Upon completion of the project, we shared the video links with all WIOA partners and periodically provide them as a training tool for new staff.

The videos are included on the Oregon Employment Department’s YouTube channel as well as linked to our agency’s website on Oregon’s Trade Act Program Information page providing access to the series to both employers and trade-affected workers. Our program staff provide the video links during all Trade Act Information Sessions, include them on email signature lines, and send them out directly to workers as needed. We also utilize our Oregon Trade Act Program Facebook page for further outreach and have “pinned” them to the top of our page.

Having the videos on our YouTube channel and Facebook page allows ease of tracking for how many views they receive. Currently, our Overview video shows 4.3K+ views and on Facebook views are at 1.2K+, with 1,305 people reached.
